The World Federation of Direct Selling (WFDSA) has released their latest report on direct selling numbers and it is astonishingly good. Mind-Blowing Global Direct Sales Numbers

For the year ending December 31, 2019, the global direct sales numbers were a whopping USD 180.5 billion! Not only that, all regions around the world showed an increase in sales in comparison to 2018. What’s more, worldwide retail sales have shown a year on year increase of 1.4%, and the compound annual growth of the direct selling industry as a whole is 1.6%. While most corporates and economies have lower growth rates, the direct selling industry proves once again that recession and economic crisis is no roadblock to its growth! Not only do these numbers show the great potential of direct selling, it is also an incredible sign that direct selling is a legitimate path to achieving your dreams.

The Phenomenal Direct Selling Global Sales Force

As of the end of 2019, do you know how many global IDs there are? Independent Distributors or distributors make up for 119.9 million of the global sales force! This figure includes over 59 million Independent Distributors who are actively working to build their direct selling businesses either as a full-time career or part-time to earn supplemental income. The Asia-Pacific region has an incredible 68.4 million IDs, and Africa and the Middle East boasts of 6.4 million IDs. While these numbers show just how many people love and trust direct selling, it also shows the great potential of direct selling in terms of growth!

The Most-Popular Product Categories

This is a quick look at what sort of products the direct selling industry is interested in. The highest number of sales has come from the Wellness category of products, accounting for 36% of all sales.
