Introducing QNET’s Direct Selling Disinformation Centre

We are thrilled to announce the launch of QNET’s Direct Selling Disinformation Centre (DSDC), our effort to create an open space to address and fight the negativity and disinformation regarding direct selling in general and QNET.

The Direct Selling Disinformation Centre aims to not only combat disinformation but to ensure best practices when selling QNET products and services. 

QNET Chief Strategy and Transformation Officer Trevor Kuna said, “In many emerging markets worldwide, the growth of the gig economy and the arrival of innovative new business models, different from traditional trade, is not only unregulated but often misunderstood. No organisation is specifically dedicated to countering the disinformation that can allow rogue operators to abuse the direct selling industry for personal gain or a shortcut. We believe that this new QNET-hosted Direct Selling Disinformation Centre is the only one of its kind dedicated to countering disinformation originating from and about the industry.”

Launch Phase: Direct Selling Disinformation Centre

The Direct Selling Disinformation Centre takes QNET’s work on Professional Direct Selling and QNETPRO to a whole new level. It is going to be critical in tackling misinformation but also in putting direct selling forward as a legitimate business opportunity with stakeholders in the government as well as with regulators. 

In the launch phase, the website will have live incident reporting which will allow you to raise a red flag from anywhere in the world — especially if you feel like QNET’s services, products and opportunities are being misrepresented or promoted through improper sales tactics. In the long term, QNET hopes to scale the Direct Selling Disinformation Services, making it available to other organisations within the industry.
