QNET Contributes To Chennai Flood Relief At IIFA Utsavam

In the wake of the devastating floods that ravaged Chennai, India, QNET showed its support for the Chennai flood victims by contributing to the Tamil Nadu Chief Minister’s Relief Fund at the International Indian Film Academy (IIFA) Awards 2016. IIFA Utsavam, a first of its kind award ceremony to honour South Indian Film talent, was themed Be1forChennai and there was no better stage to show our support and reach out with a helping hand.

As the IIFA Utsavam was dedicated to the Chennai flood relief and echoed QNET’s core philosophy – Raise Yourself To Help Mankind (RYTHM), we thought it apt to partner in the event as an Associate Sponsor. The donation was made under QNET India’s CSR wing.  and was handed over in the presence of the Telangana Minister of Commercial Taxes and Cinematography Mr T Srinivas Yadav.

I am very proud and honoured to be on this great stage with this great man to make a small, humble contribution to the flood victims of Chennai on behalf of IIFA”, QNET’s Chairman Richard Zinkiewicz said as he handed the donation to the Telangana Minister of Commercial Taxes.

The donation comes in addition to the relief kits that were given out earlier this year in support of 200 families that had lost their homes to the floods. The relief kits included sheets, mats, cooking pots and other household items that would help the families to get back on their feet.
