SUMMARY

Drawing thousands of QNET Independent Distributors, business leaders and industry experts from across the globe, the bi-annual V-Convention (also known as ā€œV-Conā€) stands as one of the direct selling industry’s largest gatherings.

Featuring training programmes, seminars, and product launches, QNET’s flagship event has grown from strength to strength, becoming a platform for learning, growth, and the celebration of achievements and milestones.

But what especially made the latest edition — held from 17-21 June 2026 at the Setia SPICE Convention Centre in Penang, Malaysia — stand out was our focus on eco-awareness, specifically the sustainable exhibition design and construction of the V-Convention 2026 exhibition space.

Building for Tomorrow, Not Just Today

Walk through any exhibition hall, and you’re likely to be captivated by the eye-catching displays and immersive experiences. But what most people don’t realise is that too often, the structures and booths are discarded after an event, creating unnecessary waste.

This is why, for V-Convention 2026, we decided to use prefabricated, modular designs and recycled materials for the exhibition booths rather than relying on disposable structures.

Two main structural frameworks were employed for this purpose: Octanorm system booths and the Maxima modular system.

Octanorm booths are the industry standard for exhibitions and are valued for their quick installation and reusability. Featuring classic octagonal aluminium frames and standard panels, they can be installed quickly and are highly reusable.

Maxima booths, meanwhile, are larger aluminium structures that support a wide range of cladding, including glass, fabric and wood, which allows for more complex builds.

They are also highly customisable and reusable.

Both systems use eco-friendly materials and modular components. This not only meant displays designed for easy dismantling, storage and reuse, but also translated to a significant reduction in single-use construction elements.

Sustainable Exhibition Design: Small Material Choices, Big Impact

Sustainable structural frameworks were, however, not the only part of the story at V-Convention 2026, as attention was also paid to the selection and use of materials that could help reduce waste.

This involved utilising fabric-printed graphics in place of more waste-intensive options, as well as natural wood finishes, recycled stickers and durable glass panels to create a modern, warm yet environmentally conscious brand experience.

For example, the Watches & Jewellery booth, which showcased the CIMIER and Bernhard H. Mayer brands, used glass displays and sustainable fabric to construct a luxurious, premium-feel exhibition space.

Elsewhere, the RYTHM Foundation booth utilised recycled stickers, plywood, fabric graphics and carpeting in line with its concept of “Driving the Future Towards a Balanced and Sustainable Life.”

    Premium Experience Without Compromise

There’s a common misconception that sustainability means compromising on quality and creativity. However, V-Convention 2026 demonstrated the opposite.

For instance, rather than conventional booths, visitors were treated to immersive brand storytelling, interactive touchpoints and engaging displays. Several exhibition booths also incorporated open-plan layouts, which boosted attendee interaction.

The design for the Personal Care & Beauty exhibition space, for example, drew inspiration from flower petals and the elegant curves of the Physio Radiance logo to create a design that reflected the elegant aesthetics of QNET’s self-care product line.

The Harmoniq Wellness Experience Zone, meanwhile, used immersive displays and dynamic LED lighting to showcase innovative sleep and wellness solutions. At the same time, the Health exhibition booth employed an open structure, interactive zones and green tones to create an environment that promoted wellness, technology and everyday living.

Resource Efficiency and a Continuing Commitment to Sustainability

For the record, by employing durable, reusable structures and eco-friendly materials, we achieved a 41.87% cost reduction compared to V-Convention 2025. And importantly, this was accomplished without compromising quality or visitor experience.

This demonstrates that sustainability isn’t just good for the environment but also a smarter way to manage resources and deliver practical business benefits.

It must be noted, however, that V-Convention 2026 is just one example of QNET’s broader focus on sustainability. Indeed, from day one, across our operations, we have championed sustainable solutions for a greener world.

This has included going meat-free and encouraging plant-based meals at corporate gatherings, phasing out single-use plastics across offices and events, promoting sustainable product development and introducing waste-reduction efforts. It has also involved global reforestation initiatives, such as the QNET Green Legacy programme, which saw more than 20,200 trees being planted across multiple countries.

Viewed in this context, therefore, V-Convention 2026 was far from a one-off initiative, but part of a continuing emphasis on creating a positive, lasting impact on planet Earth and its people.

Designing Experiences that Leave a Lasting Impact

Since 2021, V-Convention has been all about bringing together top direct selling entrepreneurs under one roof to share their experiences and learn from one another. Yet, as QNET looks to the future, we are more conscious than ever of the need to make responsible choices that benefit not only attendees but also forthcoming events.

The exhibition design at V-Convention 26 thus marks an important step in our ongoing journey of sustainability, impact and innovation. Importantly, the convention also reflects QNET’s belief that responsible choices aren’t a limitation but an opportunity to build better events and a better future for everyone.
